I finished weaving in the ends of the Vogue cardigan yesterday and then went shopping for buttons. Last night I got the buttons sewed on and it’s blocking now. I’m not sure if I like it or not. It was a little snug when I tried it on before blocking and not very flattering. Hopefully that will change when it’s dry. Maybe I should have made the bigger size. The last cotton sweater I made grows a lot when I wear it and so I went smaller with this one to compensate for that. It remains to be seen if this was a good idea or not. Either way I’ll get some pictures of it on when the sun comes back out and it dries. It’s wet and damp here right now, so it’s not drying very fast.

I finished up the No-Purl Monkey socks over the weekend.

Pattern: No-Purl Monkey Socks
Yarn: Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Merino in the Earth colorway
Needles: 2.25 mm
Started: 2/21/09
Finished 4/18/09

This was my first time using Cherry Tree Hill sock yarn even though it has been in my stash a long time. I really liked it a lot and look forward to using it again. Luckily I have a couple more skeins in the stash waiting for when the time is right. It is so soft!
Other than a sock yarn square I started last night, I have nothing else on the needles right now. I am betting that won’t last very long.
Happy Wednesday!
oooh, pretty! (to both)
The sweater looks great! I’m sure it will fit better after it dries–blocking always makes a big difference.
They’re both very lovely. I’m sure the last time I looked they both had lots of knitting left in them! I’m also hoping cotton grows - after washing my Ingenue (which was pretty snug anyway) it seems much narrower!
Your Monkeys make me want to knit a pair. I hope your cardi fits like you want it to, cause it sure is pretty!
You have gotten SO much done! I hope the sweater works for you, because I love it - it’s very pretty.
I think the cardigan will be wonderful - it sure is pretty.
And I agree about the cotton - all my cotton projects grew so very much that I swore I’d never knit with it again! (can you hear the prediction in that one?? maybe I’ll blog about yet another cotton-failed project sometime)
Great socks, and what a pretty cardi! Given my recent experience, have faith in the blocking!
I love the colors in the Monkeys! What a pretty sweater!
If the wet blocking doesn’t work, try steam blocking with your iron. That will make that sucker grow for sure. Love the monkeys! Cherry Tree is super comfy to wear.
Two lovely finishes. Congrats.
Finished knits! I am jealous…..My cardi is neverending it seems
