This weeks topic for Ten on Tuesday is 10 Favorite Songs of the 80’s. It’s so hard to pick just 10 because the 80’s had a lot of really good music, but here is what I came up with.
1. Walking on Sunshine - Katrina & The Waves - This one always reminds me of a particularly good experience in my life.
2. Lonesome Loser - Little River Band - I loved The Little River Band!
3. Take it Easy On Me - Little River Band.
4. Footloose - Kenny Loggins for the movie with the same name - I had such a HUGE crush on Kevin Bacon and this song always gives me happy feet!
5. While My Guitar Gently Weeps - Jeff Healy Band - I liked this version much better than the one by The Beatles.
6. Angel Eyes - Jeff Healy Band.
7. I’ll Be There For You - Bon Jovi - I might have had a little crush on Jon too.
8. The Longest Time - Billy Joel - I love just about anything that Billy Joel sings.
9. When The Heart Rules The Mind - GTR - Great song!
10. I Love You - Climax Blues Band - How can you not love this song?!
I spent a good long time last night listening to oldies to come up with this list. It was awesome! Do you have a favorite 80’s song?

8 - couldn’t agree more, love billy joel
10 - that’s my parent’s “song”
Love your choices!
More memories flooding back…
Maybe not a favorite, but who can forget “We Are the World?” (And I’m NOT referring to last week’s many reprisals.)
Now I have Lonesome Loser in my head. lol. I’m going to have to listen to the Big 80s on Sirius today.
My husband loves that 80’s show on VH1 and it drives me crazy. I couldn’t pick a song from the 80’s that I like but I know what I like when I hear it.
For some strange reason, I don’t recall a thing about the 80’s except that we sent a few kids off to college and redid our kitchen. And flew to Kansas a lot. Music? Not one of those even rings a bell. Oh, wait….I was madly trying to learn to play the piano and listened to nothing but classical piano music. Or C&W (see Kansas reference.)
mmm…I do love the Piano Man!
What a great list! I had forgotten about some of the ones you listed.
HItchin’ a Ride would have to be one of my best memory songs. Oops, that was the very early 70’s.
